Gary Georgiou

Gary Georgiou has over 28 years' experience in the civil infrastructure sector across Australia's east coast, progressing from project engineering roles to senior business leadership. He joined Georgiou Group in 2015 as Executive General Manager for the Eastern Region before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in July 2022.

In 2025, Gary led Georgiou Group through one of the most significant chapters in its history, following the completion of Georgiou Group’s acquisition by STRABAG SE. As Chief Executive Officer of Georgiou Group and a Director of STRABAG Australia, Gary continues to lead the business with a focus on continuity, growth and strong outcomes for clients, while helping guide the integration of Georgiou and STRABAG in Australia. The partnership strengthens Georgiou’s local capability through access to STRABAG’s global technical expertise, financial strength, innovation and resources, while retaining the people-first culture and values that have shaped Georgiou Group since 1977.

He is passionate about creating simple systems that enable disciplined project controls and delivers strong outcomes in project certainty and value for clients. Gary has a strong focus on safety, visible leadership, client relationships, and developing people and culture across the business.
