STRABAG Australia signs agreement to acquire KEE Surfacing based in Perth

• STRABAG has signed an agreement to acquire KEE Surfacing Pty Ltd., part of the KEE Group; joining together STRABAG’s global surfacing capability with the Australian transport infrastructure market.
• KEE Surfacing’s established local delivery capability in Western Australia complements STRABAG’s global asphalt, materials production and technical expertise.

STRABAG Australia Pty. Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire KEE Surfacing, part of the KEE Group, marking a step forward in strengthening its long-term presence in the Australian transport infrastructure market.

The proposed acquisition brings together STRABAG’s global experience in road construction, materials production and asphalt technology with KEE Surfacing’s established Western Australian surfacing capability, which is supported by approximately 70 employees. KEE Surfacing is recognised for its asphalt laying and production, spray seal, profiling and base course services, with a track record supporting major road, freeway and infrastructure projects across Western Australia.

STRABAG sees the potential acquisition as highly complementary to its Australian growth strategy. It adds proven local delivery capability in asphalt surfacing while creating opportunities to introduce STRABAG’s broader materials, technical and sustainability expertise to support clients across road, transport and complex engineering projects.

Globally, STRABAG combines large-scale in-house materials production with advanced technical expertise, operating a network of asphalt mixing plants, quarries and gravel pits to reliably supply aggregates, bitumen products and high-quality asphalt mixes for infrastructure projects. This capability is underpinned by specialist materials technology centres and laboratory networks that optimise asphalt performance, enable recycling and sustainable production methods, and support innovative applications across road, transport and complex engineering projects.
